Back in 2017, DC gave Marvel a run for money with their first female-led superhero movie Wonder Woman. However, Marvel being the incredible comic book giant that it is, came with a bang in the box office with their first woman-led superhero movie Captain Marvel. Starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, the movie did amazing on the charts. The action sequences and unbelievable superpowers blew the minds of viewers and bagged some 1.1 million USD. Yep, not even kidding.

With the news of Phase 4 of Marvel doing the rounds, aren’t we all excited about the release of Captain Marvel 2? However, let me tell you that this giant of a movie is not gonna be a part of phase 4. Studios president Kevin Fiege confirmed during Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con that the second instalment is in the works but will be out sometimes around Feb 18, 2022.

Disney released their schedule and according to it, Captain Marvel 2 is seemingly put away for 2022. This means that it will be a part of phase 5 of MCU. For phase 4, it will all be about creative risks for the MCU now that all the major ones have gone with Phase 3.
